What size should I order? Your usual size. Room for a sweater is already built in. Between sizes? Go up. Wearing it over a long sleeve and want it closer? Go down.
How long is it on me? Mid-thigh on 5'8". About four inches above the knee on 5'4". Just above the knee on 5'1". The exact length for every size is in the size chart.
Is it warm enough? Over a sweater it's your October-to-March layer for errands, drives, walks and games. Below freezing, it goes under your coat and keeps your core warm without the extra sleeves. It is not a blizzard coat and we won't pretend it is.
Will the zipper hold up? Yes. It's two-way, it opens from the bottom when you sit, and it doesn't jam. If it ever fails in the first season, we replace the vest.
Is the hood removable? [Pick one after the sample.] It's attached, so it stays put in the wind. / It zips off in seconds, so you can wear it either way.
How do I wash it? Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. It comes out puffy and the same length it went in.

It is coming up on close to a year since I purchased this vest. It seems to be holding up fairly well. I live in Florida therefore, I don’t get a lot of use out of it however, when I do I love wearing it. I am normally a size M and purchased in a size L because I wear two layers underneath. Fits well. Really spruces up leggings and a sweatshirt!
